This resort is wonderful for families with children. The amenities within the hotel are more than enough to keep kids entertained, and the beach is much cleaner and more family-friendly compared to Patong Beach, which can feel a bit sleazy and may not be suitable for young children. The resort also offers plenty of restaurants. However, if you enjoy street food, you will need to travel outside the resort to find more local dining options. Overall, this is an excellent hotel for families with kids, and I would highly recommend it for a relaxing family vacation.

The resort is located at the bottom of an hill at the end of a road. It covers a wide amount of property with several pools. There is beach access, you can rent a lounger on the beach from locals, cheap. The sand is soft and relatively clean of debris. Variety of places to eat within resort and some local restaurants. You will need to take a cab to explore other parts, beaches, markets, etc.

Breakfast was exceptional. Housekeeping was on point. Dry amenities weren’t there but we asked for it and they provided it. Overall very good experience to stay at Katathani for a week.

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights, overall great experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast and gym. The room was clean and maintained.

The room was recently renovated with comfortable beds and pillows. We stayed in the Bhari wing with a swim up pool. Most days we had the pool to ourselves which made the experience even better. We purchased floating chairs and relaxed by the pool. The restaurants were outstanding.
