We stayed in Tjokro Style hotel for 2 nights. The room was clean, albeit a little small for 2 luggages. We enjoyed the food in the inhouse restaurant - cheap and good! We wanted to try their unique retro-style menu but could not understand Bahasa. The service staff were super patient and translated all the dishes into English for us!

We were told to wait at the lobby for awhile as we check in late at about 8.00pm.The problem was there is no connecting room; not even at the same floor eventhough we requested for it. My elderly parents was asked to stay at Level 1; and ourself at Level 3. Room 118 is a horrible room; directly next to a karaoke joint. Parents could not sleep well with the loud music till late. They should at least sound proof the room for the guests' comfort. Other than that, room is relatively new and cleaning standard is OK.

I stayed at the Tjokro Style for two weeks recently. I very much enjoyed my time there - the staff are remarkably friendly, the food from the promo menu is good and cheap, and the room is comfortable. For the price, this place is unbeatable.
