It was very inconvenient that the check in was not at the actual hotel. The hotel staff at the Golden Tulip was were very kind and helpful. There were really no amenities with the room. It was clean though.

The hotel has no reception desk so you have to check in at a different hotel and the walk with luggage to the hotel regina giovanna. We had a walker that had to be collapsed each time to get into the small elevator and hallway door. The staff that cleaned the rooms did an excellant job and we received clean towels and suplies everyday. The hotel was on a busy street so lots of great resteraunts and stores within a 4 block radius.

The room was a good size, linens were good, the window would not lock and popes open from time to time, you had to unplug fridge to run coffee machine.
You had to check in at another hotel and then walk another 15 minutes. The instructions to get to hotel room were not the best.

We loved the location of the hotel which was close to a lot of attractions. The room was basic but clean and quiet. It was a bit confusing at first because we had to walk to another hotel to check in but it all worked out

Room was clean but small. No luggage racks or cups in the room. Finding the hotel was a challenge also. Multiple entry ways to find your room from Main Street.

There is no reception, no staff to help and the check in is a 5-10 minute walk away.. you have no service.. it is a room in a building with other businesses, hotels in the same building.. if you have an issue, not sure what you would do.
Our room was on a very busy street, no good air circulation or fan/conditioning, so to cool off you open the window, and you hear a lot of noise on the street, into the early morning hours.. difficult to sleep.
Good location however.. but no staff to support.

Decent hotel for the price, central location in Rome and in good walking distance to all the main tourist attractions. Only teething issues was the air con was not working properly and it was hot in my room and on the floor of the hotel in the building. I had to resort to wet towels over my face and body for the first 3 nights which wasn’t ideal. I did WhatsApp the hotel number about it but did not hear a reply. Also it was very noisy given the hotel building is on a main road in the city centre - expect a lot of ambulance sirens. If I went back, I’d stay in a quieter area I near Villa Borghese park - I was told by someone on a tour of the Colosseum that they did this based on previous stays in Rom where it was loud.
The check in at the other hotel building was ok and it was a 10 minute walk away from the main hotel building. The cleaning of the room and the facilities inside were all good and nothing was wrong in terms of working order. Overall a good hotel for what I paid but sort out the air con system !
