Very good location in the center of bordeaux.

My stay at Hotel Bordeaux Clemenceau by HappyCulture had a rocky start. Posted check in time is 3pm, but when I arrived at 3 my room was not ready. When I asked at the desk, the receptionist told me that 3pm is only when check in "starts" and is more of an approximate window rather than a guarantee. That is not what posted check in times mean anywhere else I have stayed, and it is a frustrating way to greet guests after a long travel day. If the actual availability is later, list that time instead of advertising 3pm. Setting that frustration aside, the location is a strong point, close to the tram line and an easy walk into central Bordeaux, with the Clemenceau area giving good access to shops and restaurants. The room itself, once I finally got into it, was clean and comfortable but dated. My advice for future guests is to build in a buffer after posted check in time, or call ahead to ask what time rooms are actually ready, since the front desk may not hold to the time printed on their own website. Two and a half stars, mostly on the strength of location, with a deduction for the check in experience and the way it was handled at the desk.

Ideal location, walkable to everything you would need. Great cafe’s, shops, and things to do right near the hotel. Friendly staff too - would recommend to anyone

My friend and I loved this cute hotel, staff were welcoming ,the room was small had 2 single beds but comfortable. In a good position near lovely cafes and excellent shopping Breakfast was served on the 4th floor, buffet style again was good .

We had an extremely small attic room for 3 people, with sloping roof, so there was a very small area in which one could actually stand up. The worst thing was that there were a lot of silverfish on the walls by the skylight. When I spoke to the gentleman at reception about it he suggested they had come in through the skylight, which seemed unlikely as we'd kept it closed with the blind down due to the heat. However where they came from is not really the point! He went on to point out that the rooms on the top floor are the cheapest, which I took to mean: "At these prices, whaddya expect?" Yet the prices were not what I'd call cheap. I have stayed in cheap hotels . . . and they did not have silverfish.

Amazing location. All of our favorite restaurants and bars were steps away. Very clean and comfortable.

It was a clean, basic "value" room in Bordeaux, France with great A/C. Great location in the city. Could have used some light blocking and soundproofing weatherstripping around the hallway door. The daytime staff were very nice and helpful. The sheets and towels were clean. Plenty of hot water in the shower. My only hesitation to giving it five stars for the value (and it IS a good value) is that I prefer a firmer mattress without any dips.

Great location. Staff are super nice. Really hot these days so really miss having a fridge in the room to keep water cold (I suppose that’s my only issue with the hotel). Rooms are pretty small but maybe par for the course I suppose.

Simple, clean, charming! Comfy bed, great shower. Nice and close to shops and cafes. Friendly and helpful staff…Loved the breakfast!

The staff was very helpful and the location was perfect.
