Cannot fault the host communication at all -completed online check in before arriving and he provides a lot of useful information about Budapest such as public transport routes. You are asked to message him on Whatsapp; and he responds quickly to any issues and queries you may have. Clear instructions were given about how to reach the apartment. The keys were then in a lock box outside the apartment which we had been given the code for - really easy to follow and get into the apartment. The apartment itself was clean, spacious and provided most things you would expect such as kitchen equipment, plates, cups, hand soap. Nice to have a fridge with a mini freezer. However, some amenities you would expect were obviously lacking - no tea or coffee, no shampoo/ body wash. It just made settling into the apartment a bit more annoying. The overall maintenance of the apartment could be improved: the bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke the whole stay, the air conditioning barely worked (we had it on the entire stay and it only ever cooled the room to 22°c). Just a final note in case it isn't clear from the photos online: there are no windows to the street in this property - the windows face an internal courtyard area so it's not an amazing view

Outside the apt had cement falling off brickwork and stairways were old and dirty Apt was tidy Did not like the high security Had to negotiate 5 locks Wifi poor

Great location Shame the shower wasn’t clean

This apartment (downtown 2) is in a great location just a few minutes walk to public transport. Charming old traditional building on a busy street with many restaurants. Quiet inside. Warm. Good size for two people, king size bed, bathroom with lots of hot water, a little kitchen with fridge and kettle. Good value for money, we paid £40 per night. Good WiFi and water pressure. Excellent communication with the owner on how to get in. However. It would be 10/10 if there was some investment in a new mattress, pillows and bedding/towels. As other people have mentioned the mattress is poor: thin and lumpy, the pillows hard and uncomfortable with pillowcases that don’t fit, and the bedding sheets are poor quality, thin and worn. Upgrading these items would make a very big difference to overall comfort.

Good location, Good size apartment with clean rooms & kitchen.

Great location with everything right outside your doorstep. Close to attractions plus good public transit options. The unit itself makes good space for two of us. Kitchen amenities useful for basic comfort. Would stay here again.

Highly recommended! Excellent communication regarding check-in process. Please be aware that on-line registration will be needed and from there information regarding access to the property, key codes, access to key box etc will be given. So you will need internet access and your phone or computer. The owner was good humoured and pleasant. The property was in an authentic quaint old building on one of the main walking streets. It was perfect for my 2 night stay. Good value. Little kitchenette, good fridge. Close to everything - central market, bridge to the baths etc etc. Many thanks.
