Nice location with good price tag

This hotel is being upgraded from previous hotel brand and it’s noticeable. They are trying very hard to upgrade and make it nicer. It was close to both the George R. brown and Toyota center. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Everything seemed pretty clean and fresh. The window unit was my only concern because I didn’t feel like it properly cooled the entire room, not awful but definitely not great. I would stay here again, despite that.

They advertised free parking and free hot breakfast. But on arrival, they charged $20/day for parking and there was no breakfast. I stayed there 3 nights and the water sputtered in the sink the whole time. On the last morning, the shower water stopped flowing after I had lathered up with soap.

Room was clean, was disappointed to find the hot tub amenity listed was not working during my stay. Hotel staff were amazing.

The staff went out of their way to ensure my daughter and I had a great stay! I highly recommend this hotel!

Charged $20 for parking once arrived - front desk was apologetic but slow. Room was dated. Pool was ice-cold. Convenient walk to convention center.

I always try to choose a Best Western, staff is always friendly and helpful, spaces are always clean and accessible. Never have a bad experience.

We stayed this weekend at the BW Premier Downtown Houston while we were here for volleyball. Overall, fine, but for $500 for two nights, I expect a better experience; especially when a great experience has so little to do with the building. The rooms were fine, if basic. The day we were set to check in, they informed us — and only because I called — there is now a parking fee when the booking site clearly calls out that parking is included and the latest review from less than a week ago calls it out. The hotel has recently been renovated but it doesn’t look like they’re done. The linens feel cheap. And nobody was at the desk or answering the phones for well over an hour this morning as we were trying to check out, for a receipt because there is a hold on my credit card (also not disclosed on the booking site). The location is ok but there was a broken glass pipe a few feet from my car this morning. Adding to the frustration, the hotel charged me a $40 parking fee for two days, instead of reconciling from the $100 hold, resulting in $140 now pending on my credit card. I anticipate the credit card company will release the hold, but the wait is a massive inconvenience. At Hilton or Marriott, I've found that incidental charges are no longer an issue. Given that you have my credit card details, you could process any charges when I check out, rather than placing inconvenient holds. Overall a mid-okay stay, but I definitely won’t stay here again.

Super friendly staff. I like the dark colored color themes. Clean and free parking which is so so nice in downtown Houston.
