We stayed in the Japanese suite which more than comfortable for four adults (parents and 2 adult children) in addition to being a beautiful traditional room. The hotel is exceptionally well located. The buffet breakfast had an excellent selection of offerings. My one complaint would be the hours for the restaurant and bar. It would be nice if it was open at night to allow for a cocktail after returning. I would 100% return again.

The breakfast could have been more varied. On one occasion, people had to ask for bread to be brought out, as there wasn't enough.

Pobyt s deťmi

We love staying here. The location is excellent!!! Basically walking distance everywhere. The hotel itself is beautiful, feels peaceful even when packed with people. There is a rather large and comfy seating area in the lobby. They have coffee and tea available all day. The breakfast is the absolute best and not to be missed. Very convenient way to fuel right before taking those 20k steps all over Kyoto. They provide umbrellas for rainy days. I think they have bikes as well. The bedrooms are a good size and if you are lucky you can get a view of the mountains and of Gion. The stunning river is just a short block and a half away. The staff is friendly, professional and helpful. Our rooms was kept clean and towels were refreshed every time we needed it. Highly recommend.

Stayed in the deluxe twin family room for our party of 4 which had plenty of space. Great location, close to shopping, restaurants, and the Sanjo train station which made it easy to hop on the Keihan line.
