Wonderful ryokan! Whilst not positioned directly on the river, it’s just a short walk to it. For the rest: superb rooms, baths and the breakfast is unmistakably the best in any onsen of that grade. Top marks!

We stayed five nights and the buffet was identical all nights. No specials. It was also a very large hotel and ghe impression we got from the listing was that it was more exclusive. Definitely stayed too long!

Excellent "Western" Japanese Hotel. We particularly enjoyed the the rooftop Japanese spa, the excellent breakfast and after dinner the lounge with fresh drinks and snacks. The hotel also offers dinner on site which we didn't book because we had dinner in the city but what we saw looked also very good.

excellent service with easy parking. very comfortable, clean and nice room. fast wifi, breakfast was delicious. Onsen is great with good outdoor option.

A traditional Japanese spa. Very enjoyable. Definitely for seniors. Convenient to all day bus service. Beautiful setting away from downtown.
