The hotel seems to be a mix of rental units and hotel rooms, hence there is no front desk. Communication was quick and efficient. Unfortunately, we were given a room that faced a major street with a noise level well beyond acceptable. In addition, this room had a weed smell. Complimentary ear plugs were suggested, fyi. We traveled with 2 children, I can’t tell them to ignore the smell and use ear plugs. So I believe there should be a threshold to what unit is to be used as a hotel room. On the good side, we were able to transfer to a different room the next day given there was no available unit that first night. That transfer made day and night in our experience as it was more peaceful facing the pool side. Besides the smell in one unit, the rooms were clean and well organized. The pool was loved by our kids. Our feedback was received by property management and I hope they look into it. The noise level to the street facing side should be disclosed prior to booking. If you are there, check out cafe Tiago for wonderful coffee and breakfast options. Also, we took the tram to LAX and to universal studios, the Fenix Hotel is in perfect walking distance and we had wonderful experiences.

It was wonderful with a kitchenette and laundry in the bathroom. I felt safe traveling alone. Only thing is that the internet is a bit slow for streaming services and loud at night due to a busy road next to it (even with ear plugs)! Despite that it was great for what you pay for.

We loved staying at the Fenix as it was close to everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ran into issues with parking as our vehicle was a bit big for the available onsite parking. However, the staff worked with us to find a space that worked best. This was our first time staying here and we will definitely stay here again.

The suite is very nice and comfortably accommodated for 4 guests. We really enjoyed the fenced in parking area, made us feel safe.

The room was generally clean! There was a trash can outside the exit door that often allowed the smell from the garbage/animal waste to come into the hallway and travel into the room. There was plenty of cutlery for me to use when I needed to. Communication with the host was very quick. I appreciated the warning notices regarding unauthorized vehicles being parked in the garage. It added a layer of safety. I did ask if I could get more laundry detergent during the scheduled refresh of the room but was not left any. It wasn't that big of a deal as I still had a little left for my final load of laundry. The door was a little clunky. You really have to put an effort in closing the door. Overall, I would choose this place again for a long term stay.

Everything was great. If I had anything to say otherwise, it would have to be the parking stalls are very tight. Other than that, I would stay again.

The property inside was clean. The bathroom door lock was difficult to handle, there was a funky way to the lock and knock. The main entrance door to our room was also not working properly, we had to pull hard to lock it when we left and push hard when we got back. I had my two teen girls with us and there is no mirror in the room to check your outfit also charging outlets were limited to the beds areas, no other walls had outlets. With all that said the hotel is close to Hollywood Blvd so it was convenient.

Definitely felt safe, HVAC was perfect. Was only there for about 8-9 hours.
