The hotel is a basic budget hotel so rooms are small. The pictures on the website are correct but taken well so the rooms look bigger. Nether the less we made it work as they are clean and refreshed each day. Bathroom is a wet room but at the is price it’s great to have your own and it does dry quickly. The staff are really lovely. Located near a mall (6 min walk) with some good restaurants and next door to a food market. Bus stop right outside and directly opposite which is extremely convenient for travel into the city / waterfront.

Pretty average stay and nothing to write home about, it's not a Hilton however surprised I paid a slightly higher rate - checked price on the the day and it seemed to be SGD 20 lower than what I paid, despite the fact I booked months earlier. Par for course for Singapore and its exorbitant accom costs - overrated in general and not Fragrance Hotel's fault. I stayed at a Sofitel, Hilton Garden Inn & flagship Hilton during the same trip so I think my average 3-star rating is generous for this hotel...

The room and bathroom were super tiny but clean. Check-in was quite fast, but I was required to manually submit all the passport scans through a third-party system (Trevo), which I didn’t like. A quick check revealed that many hotels in Singapore are using the same system. The main issue with 2-3 star hotels is that soundproofing is virtually nonexistent. So, if you’re young and drunk enough to fall asleep easily, you’ll be fine. But if you’re older or a light sleeper or travelling with kids, this hotel is not for you (as most of the 2-3 star hotels)

For a budget hotel, I gave it 5 Stars: It’s conveniently located right next to a bus stop. Plenty of eateries nearby & neighborhood shopping malls within a short walk away. Manager, Jessica, was friendly along with their other staff members. The only unpleasant experience was that my white T-shirt went missing even though it was placed atop my luggage away from the other linens. Likely that the room service lady mistakenly took it as one of their linens for cleaning. During check out, this was reported to the manager and she had submitted an email to their laundry service in hopes that they will find it and have it return back to the hotel within a few days time. After all, i’ll still be in Singapore for a few more days at another location and therefore, I can go back to the hotel for my missing T-shirt if found. Time will tell & keeping my fingers crossed.
