We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Andy on our private tour of Beijing! This was the perfect way to see the Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, and Forbidden City—he knew all the quieter spots, the best access points, and how to navigate the crowds seamlessly. Andy’s knowledge of history was incredible, and he shared stories in such a vivid way that kept all ages engaged. No question went unanswered, and his passion for the city really came through. He even surprised us with a tea-tasting ceremony and took us to a traditional restaurant for an exceptional lunch. Our guide Lisa Liu reached out to us the day before and met us promptly at 830am at the hotel lobby. The first stop was Forbidden City and wow the grandeur of the palace was magnificent. We then went for tea whilst she went to the restaurant next door and ordered lunch for us. The tea we sampled was very fragrant. Ended up buying 3 containers of Oolong and Pu er. Lunch was delicious! Local beijing food. Next stop was Temple of Heaven and lastly we went to Summer Palace. Lisa's knowledge was extensive as she is an experienced guide of over 20 years. We were lucky to have her as you could ask anything and she will explain the history.

True to its advertisement, this tour was “iconic” as we were able to tour around the most iconic sites in Beijing. Thanks to our tour guide Sunny who made sure we had the best experience. It was very comfortable being around her that we did not actually notice the heat of the sun until it was time to part. It’s like having a relative touring you around their place. She was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We also had the best lunch! Our driver was also kind and made sure we had a comfortable ride. We were assigned with a Benz V250L as our service vehicle.

What a wonderful experience! We had the best time exploring Beijing with Angel. This tour exceeded our expectations. Angel provided alot of facts and history about each location we visited. The lunch was also incredible and delicious. We would recommend this tour for anyone who has limited time and want to visit these iconic historic landmarks.

Andy was an amazing guide and en even more amazing photographer. Communication was excellent and conversations were engaging the entire tour. Andy was extremely knowledgeable in his history and geography of the locations we’ve visited. Lunch at a local restaurant tasted amazing. Additionally he was super helpful even after the tour, helping us get dinner reservations so we wouldn’t need to queue.

My wife and I had a private tour of Beijing with Linda. She arrived early and we visited the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and then the Summer Palace. If you want to take the boat across the river at the Summer Palace it will be an additional 40rmb. The lunch was fantastic. We had Beijing Duck, eggplant l, sweet and sour chicken and rice. Linda was able to tell us the history of Beijing and the Dynasties extensively. We had a private driver which was very accommodating. We did not have to queue up as Linda had our tickets ready at all times. It was expensive as we wanted to do all three venues in one day and this was the only tour doing this. Otherwise you can join larger groups over a two day period and it will be much cheaper.

This private tour was an outstanding way to experience the city for the first time as a solo traveler. My guide (Sue) was incredibly knowledgeable, bringing each site to life with rich historical context and thoughtful explanations of Chinese culture, traditions, and symbolism. It felt personalized and engaging throughout, not like a generic script. Having Sue accompany me made everything seamless, from navigating crowds to sharing stories at the right moments. The private driver was equally fantastic, warm and professional, with smooth pick-ups and drop-offs between sites. Covering three major sites in one day felt a bit rushed, but it was still a great introduction to Beijing’s top highlights. Overall, a very enjoyable and well-organized experience. Highly recommended.

Počas našej súkromnej prehliadky „Ikonický Peking“ sme mali úžasný zážitok s našou sprievodkyňou, pani Lisou. Počas celého dňa bola veľmi efektívna, profesionálna a dobre organizovaná. Jej vysvetlenia na každom mieste boli jasné, podrobné a ľahko pochopiteľné, čo urobilo prehliadku ešte príjemnejšou a zmysluplnejšou. Bola tiež veľmi starostlivá a pozorná, vždy sa uistila, že sme sa cítili pohodlne a bolo o nás dobre postarané. Obed bol tiež vynikajúci – dobre vybraný a dobre zorganizovaný. Vrelo odporúčame!
