Nech žije Stará Manila! : Pešia prehliadka Intramuros

Veľká vďaka patrí nášmu neuveriteľnému sprievodcovi Cedhiemu. Bol neuveriteľne ústretový. Koordinoval s nami cez WhatsApp a umožnil nám preložiť termín, a samotná prehliadka stála za každý cent. Cedhie je mimoriadne trpezlivý, priateľský a veľmi informatívny. Priniesol si tablet, aby nám ukázal historické fotografie a letecké zábery, ako oblasť vyzerala v 30. rokoch 20. storočia, čím história pevnosti Fort Santiago a Intramuros skutočne ožila. Podarilo sa nám preskúmať nádherné pamiatky, vrátane historických brán pevnosti Fort Santiago a úžasnej Manilskej katedrály. Tiež sa postaral o to, aby sme sa počas celej prechádzky cítili dobre. Ak navštívite Manilu, táto pešia prehliadka je absolútne nevyhnutná.

Zarezervovali sme si pešiu prehliadku Viva Old Manila cez Klook a mali sme skvelý zážitok. Náš sprievodca, Russell, bol neuveriteľne vzdelaný a informatívny, počas celej prehliadky sa delil o fascinujúce príbehy a historické poznatky. Navštívili sme 8 zastávok v okolí Intramuros a každé miesto malo svoju jedinečnú históriu a význam. Najviac som ocenil, ako Russell spájal príbehy so súčasnou Manilou, vďaka čomu bola prehliadka pútavá aj vzdelávacia. Vysoko odporúčané pre každého, kto navštívi Manilu a chce získať hlbšie pochopenie bohatej histórie a kultúry mesta.

I am a Filipina who’s been relatively good in her history class but this tour still gave me information I didn’t learn in school. Highly suggested even to locals. Steven was our tourguide and he’s really good :) he kept the discussion very interesting. Overall, nice tour.

The tour was very worth it! We did it under a scorching heat but it was bearable because Russell ( the tour guide) was so amazing and knowledgeable. as a Filipino, it was really good to be re-educated about PH history and as for my non- Filipino partner, he appreciated knowing more about my roots and especially knowing bits and pieces of what happened in the past. I booked a walking tour for my next written project, I'm writing a story, and para na rin sa historical knowledge while I'm doing my study. Gusto kong part bago mag sulat talaga yung location studies hahahaha. And during this tour I felt like a student again attending field trips. Na-miss ko 'yon. How I took those trips for granted. Mabait and sobrang knowledgeable din nung guide namin. Our group had 10 people, which was perfect, and all of us were catered naman. Halos kapitbahay ko lang din siya rito sa Tondo hahaha. It was a fun experience. I enjoyed this tour so much! It was worth the price especially for wanderlusts. Steve is a great guide! He's knowledgeable and dynamic and very engaging. We had such a great time learning about Intramuros, Firt Santiago, Jose Rizal, WW2, Manila Cathedral (and its 8 builds!), and San Agustim Church. We love him so much!
