We had a great stay at Playsis Asakusa. It was a great base for all the places we wanted to go in the area. We had no problem finding a taxi to go longer distances. There is no reception area; you check in with a live staff member via a tablet at the entry way. They were very friendly. The room fit my husband and I and our two teenagers just fine. It was quiet during the night hours. The only complaints I would say are: the room felt slightly damp (but no big issue) and the pillows are not great.

We expected the room to be small. It was. That was ok. The problem was the property has not been updated for some time. The place to store clothes/belongings was too dirty to use. The location was good, but had we known that the room was going to be less than ideal In cleanliness we would have definitely chosen to stay somewhere else.

Don’t go here. I can understand a small accommodation in the city of Tokyo , but the room I stayed in was very dirty/dusty and smelled terrible. The lobby also smells like garbage.

the room was cold for our entire stay, 4 days. even after the host came and adjusted it and gave a a portable unit. it was uncomfortable all nights.
