The Churchill Hotel near Embassy Row

There was a great deal of construction outside the hotel, so a bit frustrating trying to get an uber, etc. Not super convenient to walk to places, but we did. Lots of cute restaurants and bars in the area. One of the elevators was broken the entire time we were there. I got the strong sense it has been broken for a long time. They did offer coffee near the front desk, but (and maybe this is just me), I found it super annoying there was either no garbage can or the small one they had was overflowing. This was 4 feet away from the front desk. I was also annoyed a bit that the day before our departure, I asked for a late check out. They told me I would have to check the morning of. I called first thing and they indicated they don't do that. Just say no on first contact and manage expectations. They did store our luggage for us, The room was very nice. Bed comfortable. Shower was nice. Room was large. Felt very safe. Did not eat/drink at the restaurant so can't comment.

Great staff, Need more improvement in the cleaning of the property and in the maintenance of the property

Very pretty building, good location

Upon arrival the AC was not working properly. We informed the staff the following morning before leaving the hotel for the day. We came back eight hours later and AC had not been fixed. It was 83 degrees. We were offered a different room in with a king bed and a couch. Our previous room had two beds. We made due but it was uncomfortable. The AC in the room had just been fixed and it was still 76 degrees for the first four hours. Additionally the room was not as clean as we hoped, specifically the bathroom. While things happen the staff was slow to help and limited options were provided.

The staff was super nice and helpful! Room was incredibly spacious!

The staff were super helpful. The room had all the amenities that someone attending a conference would need. A 10-12 min walk away from the metro station. Would stay here again if I ever travelled to DC.

What a wonderful stay. The staff were amazing and the facility such a nice atmosphere. The only complaint was breakfast. They were out of many items but didn’t reduce the price or yogurt and berries with no berries.
