Splendor Suite Rome - Suites and Apartments

There’s a code to use the lift, should include that ahead of arrivals. Now we understand why they provide earplugs in each room… the garbage and recycling trucks emptying the entire neighbourhoods’ glass bottles at 7am on a Sunday is loud, I’m not a light sleeper. Carpeted bathroom is also odd. There’s also steps up and down the hallway. Appreciated the slightly later checkout however. The property is in older condition than photos.

It is an excellent location, very clean and the staff was very nice

Very pleasant place to lodge, it is located in the centre of most of the attractions in Rome, with lots of shops. Do visit the 150 flavours of Icecream, it is around the corner, great icecream flavous. The only negative for me was the lift and staircase, but if you like antique artistics, you will like the lift and stairs. The owners were very helpful in the checking in and out.

We had a wonderful stay in Rome! The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff Daniel and his brother was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The combination of excellent service, genuine hospitality made our visit unforgettable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome and look forward to staying here again!

Love the location

The location of the Splendor Suites is great! Right outside the door of the hotel are several restaurants that are open from breakfast through dinner...and a gelateria and bakery literally steps from the front door. The room itself was comfortable, but a bit on the small side. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was adequate. The shower is small and leaked a bit. It would be nice to get more than one towel per person, and like most European hotels they do not have wash cloths or face cloths. I pack disposable wash cloths that I buy on Amazon for this reason, so I was happy to be prepared. The room thankfully had air conditioning! This was a HUGE plus as it was HOT while we were there. The room cooled down nicely and we slept well. The windows to the room open up onto the plaza with the restaurants and shops below. Once the shutters are closed, you get almost complete darkness and can shut out most of the noise. The noise at night wasn't a problem at all, in fact we really didn't hear much. However, when they come pick up the garbage and recycling it is VERY noisy. The bottles being dumped into the truck woke us up from a dead sleep before 6am. Not ideal, but they do provide ear plugs in the rooms if you need them. Overall, I would stay here again. The location is superb for walking to around Rome, and there is a lot of shopping and tons of restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. It is also rather easy to catch a cab in the area.

I loved splendor suites location!! Amazing location and we felt very safe. The place was clean and the staff was super helpful! My only concern was that the air conditioning was not as strong as we are use to! But overall I would totally recommend this VRBO! We enjoyed our stay. It was helpful that there was an elevator!

Spotless room. Location is the best. Feels safe at night. Downstairs you have the most amazing restaurants. And very helpful staff

Location

The hotel was in a perfect location. There were good options for dining, shopping and sight seeing, Trevi fountain was about 10 min walking, Spanish steps maybe 15 min walking- lots to see along the way, pantheon about 10 minutes. The Vatican / St Peter’s Sq maybe 15-20. We also walked to the Colosseum in about 30 minutes. Lovely walk along the river. The hotel was clean the bedroom large and the bathroom/shower well equipped. There was a common area and snacks available for sale. The brothers were very accommodating and readily provided maps and information. I would recommend this location. There is a lift although small gets the job done. There are also marble stairs- could be slippery. Loved our stay
