The Novotel hotel at Taiping like to turn OFF the Air conditioner around 4pm in the hallway! Let the hallway and elevator feel like an oven! It feel like a 100 degree in the hallway. This is unheard of during this is Malaysia , all year round Summer. When outside is almost 90 and can you imagine no AC inside the hallway and the elevator?This is a safety hazard for guess to stay there! Are they consider that people can get sick with the heat so high? I will never recommend anyone to stay at that hotel. I used to stayed at other Novotel before, and no problem like this. Very disappointed! The health department should have to inspect this place.

This will be our third time staying here and it suits us. Comfortable rooms and staff are very friendly and helpful.

The shower room have a kind of smelly/urine smell, probably drainage issue. Pillows and beds need some maintenance and change. But overall stay is okay, good location.

Staff was cheerful and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. There were many USB power outlets in the room, making it easy to charge devices. There was not much table or shelf space for personal items. A drawer or 2 would be much appreciated.
