B&B Hotel Köln-Messe

Parking 10eur per night, no guaranteed a space, next to railway which double glazed windows keeps noise out however window whiles when closed, to stop this open slightly but then you can hear the railway line, so you get the whistle or the railway nose. The beds were extra firm like padded concrete, and desk not manned most of the day. So if your goal is a comfy silent nights sleep avoid this place.

Very friendly staff and the room had the required amenities

Rooms were clean but very small. you have to pay for parking. Lobby and around the front desk is smell so much smoke. very heavy smell it might be okay for small budgets.

Very clean and newly renovated. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were a bit cramped, the bathroom smelled like rotting broccoli the whole time (not from us), and the parking was limited unless you were willing to pay €13.

Perfect location if you go to a lanxess arena

Overall it was good

The hotel, staff and facilities were okay. In the morning one of their staff members opened our door with master key card. He abruptly went back when he saw us in the room. It was 08:30 in the morning clearly not the time after checkout. This made us feel unsafe. The toilet was clean but it was too smelly that you can't even breathe inside.

We stopped in multiple cities across Europe and this was definitely the most comfy stay. Excellent cleanliness and really comfortable beds. The room was quite small but kids were delighted with the bunk bed and we finally got a decent double bed. Please note they advertise parking but it's only a small space with less than 20 spots which gets inspected by an external agency. If it's full they ask you to park in the Arena car park. This has only one pay machine which didn't accept Google pay or Apple pay or any of our UK debit or credit cards. It also doesn't accept notes. So at 11pm at night we were stuck badly. The extremely sweet receptionist helped us and I paid her back in gbp. This is apparently common in European car parks so always keep coins! Otherwise a smooth and comfy stay. We didn't have breakfast there so cannot comment.

Someone knocked on our room door around several times in the early morning. Firstly we didn't open the door because we couldn't see the person behind the door. My husband opened the door unknown guy said sorry and went.
