Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast good, both cooked and buffet selection. Bar service good.

Beautiful setting and manor in the peaceful countryside yet walkable to town. Room amenities included a cozy robe and small sweets for pre-bedtime treat. A memorable stay!

Breakfast was good , although no orange juice or marmalade. Lovely room

Good for a holiday break

Booked for one night and paid just shy of £200 for a standard double. The pictures of the hotel and room looked good so was happy to pay,. However, the room we got, room 44 was right at the back of the hotel in the 1980/90's extension, the room was small and tired, particularly in the bathroom where the door has no lock and paint had been knocked off, the ventilation fan also didn't work and wasn't fitted properly. The hotel itself is very nice and the staff are friendly. We also ate in the restaurant which was pleasant but we had a 20 minute wait for our drinks. I felt it was expensive for what it was £100 for 2 starters and 2 mains with 2 drinks. For £300 I feel there is better out there. Made my feelings felt on departure and received an apology and assurances my comments will be passed on, won't be returning.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms very clean and had everything you need. We felt that prices were a little high for some of the food,as it was not value for money. Would definitely recommend staying here. The grounds are beautiful and lovely walks along the canal bank

Excellent. Beautiful venue. Loved the courtyard and little waffle bar in the garden. Cute rooms.

We managed to park right in front of the hotel, there were plenty of parking, really enjoyed the canal walks

Grand and historically interesting building with extensive beautiful grounds by the Canal. Plenty parking available. Great breakfast, restaurant and bar area. Friendly helpful staff.

The hotel and surroundinfs itself was beautiful! However we were extremely disappointed with the disruptive nights sleep. We could hear all noises made from the room above, hear the person in the room next door snoring all evening and also little things like holes in the towels. We wasn't asked about our stay on leaving and felt quite disregarded at this point.
