When rooms face airport there is too much light in room at night. Heavier curtains are needed.

Room was spacious and clean with a very comfy bed and big bathroom. The TV was huge and allowed you to connect your phone to watch what you wanted, which was great. The bar and restaurant were good with very reasonable prices and extremely friendly staff. The location is great for flying and close to Coolangatta with decent public transport available. It’s around a 45 minute bus journey from Broadbeach although buses can become quite crowded with arrivals passengers. Unfortunately I didn’t try the breakfast or pool so cannot comment on those. Thank you!

After three beautiful weeks on the Gold Coast we decided to stay at Rydges the night before our early flight home to Wellington. The convenience of the hotel to the airport was ideal. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were surprised and happy to receive a complimentary room upgrade. The room was clean and well appointed with a view over the airport but was very quiet despite the closeness of aircraft activity. The food in the restaurant was also very good. All in all a great experience on the last night of a wonderful holiday.

The staff were amazing, they made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. We enjoyed all of it, food, room and location. The taxies, buses and ubers all handy.
