The room was not in a great state and in need of some TLC. Although the location is quiet, the rooms are not due to other guests and creaking floorboards above. The beer was good and the food was good value for the money. Staff were very helpful and polite.

Rooms were very dated and cleanliness was not at a reasonable standard at all, bed linen was dirty, dust on every surface, walls mouldy and cracked and full of dust. Carpets were dirty with stains and covered in dog hair. Windowsills had dead bugs and dirt on them and beds were very uncomfortable (two single beds pushed together is not a double bed which is what we booked for both rooms) overall it was not a hotel we will be returning to.

Hotel looking tired and dated but staff and food made up for this. Atmosphere in eating area great and bar well stocked and not expensive.

Basic accommodation, as expected for the relatively cheap price. Helpful staff. My only gripe was the wi-fi which kept dropping on both my devices.
