Sleep Inn Orange Beach

We enjoyed our ocean facing room om the 5th floor. Great view and comfortable room. The breakfast buffet with omelet bar was especially fun and enjoyable. Easy access to the pool and path to the beach so all very comfortable and convenient. I would definitely stay with Sleep Inn again. Also a good location for stores and shops and restaurants!

I enjoyed my stay. However the sliding door going to deck was not maintained and very hard to open. But that was the only complaint. Breakfast was a lot to choose from and the closeness to beach was fantastic.

I love the fact that they had them made to order waffles was awesome!

This is the information I wish I had known before booking, so I'm hoping to save someone from the experience we had. When you first walk into the hotel lobby, there is a strong unpleasant odor. That should have been my first warning to just turn around and immediately leave. Normally, the lobby wouldn't pose that big of a problem, however, they serve the free breakfast in this same lobby in the mornings. The rooms themselves are very average. The balcony for non-ocean front is very narrow and doesn't have a chair. The shower is absolutely disgusting. We had to shower with our pool sandals on (think college dorm vibes). The pipe where the shower head was connected to the tile wall had a large hole. There are no safes in the room so good luck getting creative in hiding your valuables or cash - or simply, just opt for no room service for the whole week, so that you know no one can steal your valuables. They do have community safes that you can use at the front desk, in which you, the guest, has a key and so does a hotel employee. Apparently, the safe can then only be unlocked when both keys are inserted into the lock. Yeah, thanks, but no thanks. I'd rather risk it and play hide & seek with hiding my cash in the room. Pool - another major let down. There are RATS that come out in the pool area starting in the evenings. I couldn't relax on a lounge chair in fear that a rat would skim across me or enter my bag. Location is good with direct beach access, probably the ONE plus

Breakfast was good and the rooms were nice and clean. Our reservation said ocean-view however we were on the side of the hotel and didn’t have a balcony

The Sleep Inn was way better than I expected! For a budget friendly option it was excellent. Very clean and tidy room with stylish furnishings. In room microwave and fridge with a Keurig type coffee maker and an iron and ironing board! The bed was very comfy too. Minor water leak from shower, damaged lamp shade and exposed popcorn and bolts near the ceiling were the only misses. Ocean view and balcony were 100% worth it!

The rooms are small and the bathroom is smaller. I did have a beach view from the room I guess that's why I paid over $1300 for four nights. I should have got a condo for the money which I will do in the future.

Breakfast was delicious, great location, staff very helpful, lovely pool
