Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. The restrooms and showers are plentiful and clean/modern.

I was thoroughly impressed by this facility! I was in a 6-bed room (only 4 in use at the time). I want to highlight this bed was very spacious and comfortable, even for me as someone who is quite tall! The amenities (lounge area, small kitchen space with fridge, microwave, kettle, bathrooms/showers, drying area) were well designed and very accessible. Yes, it was a bit loud at times at night being a shared space (snoring, doors opening) but I felt very safe throughout the stay. I also enjoyed the access to purchase breakfast/dinner during the stay.

Super friendly staff!

We stayed here for one night in April 2026. Though we did not partake in any outdoor adventures with the company, they all looked exciting. We did eat dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and were very happy with the quality of the food. What makes Midgard Base Camp stand out for lodging is the lobby area with its different seating areas and seating choices. There is a laundry facility (reasonably priced) which was super helpful, and they offer drying systems for shoes, coats, and bathing suits. The rooftop hot tub is pretty cool! There is also a small kitchen if you prefer to cook your own meals. Our room was quite spacious. We chose a room with a private bathroom, and it was very quiet. We overlooked a horse farm and a mountain range. All staff members were helpful and friendly. What a cool place!

Sauna and hot tub were great. Room was basic but very comfortable and clean. Staff was very friendly and the restaurant had very good food! If we are fortunate enough to visit Iceland again we will definitely be staying here!

Loved our stay here! Very friendly staff, lovely lobby/bar area and ideal kitchen area. Room very basic but was all we needed. Loved the hot tub! Small touches like the boot dryer and the swings in the lobby were great. Would highly recommended!

What a great staff! So helpful and welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped with an area to sit. The lobby was very cool. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was really good, but also very expensive.

The team went above and beyond to accommodate me and were very open to feedback. Wish them all the best!
