GREAT staff and breakfast/happy hour. The room was clean. The parking lot across the street was convenient. The restaurants on Cole were delightful. Only downside was the noise level. I recommend that you bring earplugs if you are noise sensitive.

Nicely appointed and convenient - great location for those who want to be near Golden Gate Park and Haight-Ashbury and near environs. Surprisingly quiet at night even though our room faced Stanyan. An old building, so you have to be okay with some creakiness; htough nicely renovated mostly. The sink has NOWHERE to put toiletries. The shower head collar was loose and not caulked - so beware of future mold in the wall. I can never understand why most hotels - even nicer ones - are so terrible at bathroom maintenance.The breakfast is packaged stuff so not the greatest. So many tempting coffee/breakfast places nearby. Close to a Whole Foods if that matters to you.

Beautiful historic, loved its charm and location to the park across the street. Older hotel, so it did not have air-conditioning. During our trip it was pretty overcast and chilly, but our bedroom got very hot during the night. We had to use multiple portable fans. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We got the one bedroom suite, perfect amount of room for our family of four.

Ideal location for visiting golden gate park museums and the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. The evening wine socials were an incredible touch.
