Taumeasina Island Resort

The location and snorkelling were great. Buffet breakfast was also fantastic. This is a large resort so you don't get that small pacific vibe, its a very busy place. But easy to drive from there to visit other attractions if you have a car.

We stayed at Taumeasina for 11 days this trip and had another fantastic experience. The service was exceptional, especially from waiters Alesana, Tino and Taleni, who were friendly, attentive and outstanding throughout our stay. The reception team is welcoming and always open to feedback. Having stayed here regularly over the past three years, we've noticed great improvements, including complimentary kayaks for guests and scooters available for hire. Our children always choose Taumeasina over the other resorts in Samoa and the friendly, approachable General Manager, Nathan and his Team help make every stay memorable in Samoa. We look forward to returning again soon.

Staff were helpful when we checked in - said we could have a late check out - staff the next morning was rude and said we ddint have a late check out - tried to charge us - hung up on me, rude. Got woken up by the restaurant staff demanding us to sign for a bill at 11:30 that wasnt for us. Best buffet breakfast out of all of the 5 resorts we stayed at - best beach to relax out of all resorts we stayed at - but i rank it a 4 due to the feeling of being in a city not and paying over $1000nzd for a quality nights sleep and being left like we were in a night club.

It was great, breakfast was nice and the service was superb.

Im a regular at this hotel and the service is always good 👍 The Oka is the best on the menu. When I usually request an earlier checkin due to early flight arrival, they do their best to accommodate me

I stay at Taumeasina often as I regularly travel to Samoa to check on my elderly father, so this feedback comes from a regular guest. Breakfast this week appeared to consist of leftovers from the previous night's buffet, which was disappointing. A large crowd turned up to watch the State of Origin decider, only to be told the TV would have no sound and that we had to use a much smaller screen, despite the large screen in the main area being used for soccer earlier that day. Unfortunately, the staff can be dismissive, and management doesn't seem open to feedback or value its regular customers

Staff were very lovely and helpful 😄 made our stay very relaxing. We will definitely be back again !

The resort does seem to be the most up market in the area but it has a long way to go before it rates as well as a 5 star resort at say, Fiji. The rooms are nice but are not regularly deep cleaned. Washing machine and shower frames all dirty. The beds are terrible, I asked for a new mattress but it was no better. They are noisy with any movement, you can feel the springs and they are very firm. The shower head holder in my room was broken, reported it and maintenance replaced the head but left the actual broken part, so still no good, but I gave up on it and used as is. The staff are mostly lovely, I liked the waiters and the activity team, but some of the managers are not very friendly. I asked for a banana at breakfast, waiter had to ask the chef. The chef came out with the bananas and gave me an absolute filthy look over it ( im not sure why?). I have found that although the activity staff as nice guys alot of the activities dont go ahead or aren't really advertised when starting. For example every day pool volleyball is advertised, a net was never put up. Food is ok, but takes a long time to be served and several times parts of our orders were missed. One manager made me provide a receipt for missed fries as he didn't believe I had paid for them, yet he wasnt even there when I ordered. Main pool has some lining missing from the bottom, 5 star resort should have this fixed. The resort would benefit having waiters work the pool decks for drink orders saves us going to bar

The staff were friendly on arrival but there was a mix up in rooms we were assigned to. We had to move within a couple of hours after we checked in but that was well taken care of. However, when we called to see if there was availability for the tennis courts we were told to come to the activities desk but I wasn’t sure where that was located so I went to reception who then called another staff member and told me to wait 5 minutes and they should be out to help me. We waited in the lobby area for 15 to 20 minutes and no one came so I went back to reception and the staff member had forgotten what I was waiting for. I asked him if someone was coming and he said for??? Then I said to use the tennis courts then he replied oh yes you need to go to the activities desk outside and asked him where it’s located. Pointed outside and we headed to the desk only to be told that the tennis courts were booked out for the day. Staff during the buffet breakfast were excellent especially Pesamino. Rooms were great and everything was clean and in good working condition. Overall would stay again
