Booked a king room executive for £199.00 over 6 months in advance. On check in at 2 pm they told me I had been downgraded to the same room, but one floor lower and the rate had been reduced £20.00. No problem. On arriving at room it had only a double bed. Not happy. Told hotel was sold out. Only solution was to refund my stay and I could go elsewhere. On a night the city is sold out. Deal agent claimed she did not know the hotels in area all sold out. Laughable. Complained to duty manager who offered a 20% discount, but could do nothing else. Told again I could get a full refund and leave. The reason for the downgrade changed with each person I spoke to. I felt a 50% refund was reasonable. So we endured a terrible nights sleep at top rates. One star.

We stayed for two nights and our stay was fabulous but the single beds we had could use changing as you can feel springs or the skeleton of the mattress
