La Mer Resort

Great and conveniently located though the road leading to the resort was dark and not well lit in the evening/night.

Strategically located, walking distance to beautiful beach. Lots of food around, very convenient. Only issue, water pressure is a bit low, so hardly have a good shower.

Very nice hotel next to Long Beach with a nice pool. Clean rooms and very nice staff. Breakfast buffet with a lot of choice. Scooter rentals next by. This is where you want to be in Phu Quoc.

Stayed 6 nights with my 2 grandchildren, 8 & 10 year olds Very pleasant, quiet, lovely pool and good breakfast The staff really made experience extra good

Hotel room is very comfortable, the grounds are pretty and well maintained. Staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. One suggestion: there are gaps between the wood panels in the doors that allow mosquitos to enter. They could probably fix this rather easily.

We left. The rooms aren't even half the size it says on the description. There were a lot of mosquitos. Sorry to say. We really wanted to like this place but we couldn't. The staff in the restaurant isn't competent to serve turists... The front office is great and very friendly. Hope for you to change the room size to 14.4sqm which is the right size not 30sqm for the bungalows. We really hope that we don't cause any harm to your staff by posting this but rader to make your resort more up to date and traine your staff in English.

we first got 2 the airport of Phu Quoc, La mer was suppose to provide us w/ a shuttle, no one was 2 b found waiting 4 us. We ended up taking a cab 2 the resort. They acted like it was no big deal, no apology given. We let that slide because we didn't want 2 let that ruin our trip. The resort was cute. having a shower/bathroom outside seemed like a good idea until we had 2 start using it -tons of mosquitos flying around. mosquitos got into our room, we we're provided a net 2 sleep in which was fine but then u gotta get rid of the mosquitos in your room before getting inside the net, just in case. For the morning we would put up a make up room sign, our room was never made for the 4 days that we stayed. They only provided us with 2 bottles of water daily & 2 new towels. On my last day being there I got food poisoning, I ate breakfast in the morning at the hotel, same thing every other morning the only difference was the pho. I'm thinking they didn't properly prepare the meat. I went to Ho Quoc Pagoda, came back 2 the room 2 hrs later. I consumed nothing during that day other than bottled water after breakfast. I ended up vomiting & having diarrhea the whole day. It was horrific esp outside in the heat because the bathroom is located outside the room. so you get the picture. Following day we checked out. prior 2 that they asked us for our info because their driver was going 2 take us. We ended up taking the cab cuz the driver wasn't there. By then we just wanted 2 get out.

La Mer is a lovely resort, tucked away from the main road but within close walking distance of it, as well as many bars and restaurants. It is also a very short walk to the beach, so it is conviently located. The only downside is it’s quite far from the main town so really you have to take a taxi to get there if you want to see it. The resort itself is quiet and relaxing. The pool is nice but quite small, but it was never busy so its size wasn’t a problem. The restaurant is quite pricy but there are many cheaper alternatives nearby, which can also be said for laundry (we went to the place closest to the resort and they did a good job for a much cheaper price). Our room was big and clean, the bed was very comfortable and we had air con and a fan. The only downside is it’s very dark as there are loads of trees surrounding the building (the bungalows might be different). Overall we had a lovely, relaxing stay at La Mer and we would definitely recommend it for a lazy beach break.

The hotel was great and the room super lux I would defeinately stay again
