The staff were unkind upon checking in, telling us to move out of the way for someone else to check in, when there was plenty of space for someone else to be helped. The bidet in the room did not work and the room did not seem to have been vacuumed. The alarm clock in the room had been turned on (not by us) and it went off on the middle of the night.

It is located in a very central location, walk to Fukuoka, Hakata and mostly of the tourist area. If you ride a cab, it is not expensive because everything was near. Nanzoin Temple is an easy DYI commute, you take subway from Hakata Station.

Like others have already mentioned, rooms are small and basic, but good for a few nights if spending most if your time out. The staff is friendly and helpful with easy check-in/check-out. Wifi is not the fastest if planning to do some work. Close to public transportation and many restaurants around the area. Great choice for the price overall. They are doing some construction inside the hotel and it can get a bit noisy too.
