9 Brick Hotel

The hotel was in a great location and the staff were friendly and attentive. The only down side was certain aspects of the room. We had one of the penthouse suites which the outside had a jet bath that did not work, was full of dead bugs and the flow of the tap meant it would take hours to fill if we used it. The plants were practically dead with dead leaves and cobwebs and several of the slabs on the raised patio were not stable and felt like they were going to drop though. This meant we did not use the outside at all, which was one of the main things that attracted us to the room. The room itself was smaller than expected but still spacious the bed was comfy and it had a deep spa bath inside that was great after a long day of walking. It was weird that they had see though glass which meant you can see inside the bathroom from the outside and pretty much see whoever was on the toilet from the room, unsure if this is a culture thing and just us being uncomfortable watching the other whilst on the loo. We just made sure we stayed to the side of the room that can’t see in. The beds were comfy with 2 large pillows each, which was great and the air con was a life saver when it got humid. We would come again as competitively priced but would just opt for a standard room rather than a suite. As mentioned it was just a shame about the outside patio / jet bath.

Great hotel, clean and very spacious. The location was a a 10/10 for exploring Hongdae. Would def stay here again.

Room was very clean and housekeeping was very good. The hotel was also very conveniently located and it was easy to get to the metro as well as to experience the nightlife, while still being on a quiet street. Hotel had limited amenities, but that wasn't a big deal for us, as we went out for the entire day. Only big thing that bothered us was that our shower had no door, so the bathroom would get very messy. Overall, would definitely recommend giving 9 Brick Hotel a try!

Great hotel, such a great find. Location was exactly where we wanted to be, breakfast was excellent, staff was super friendly and accommodating. Look forward to staying here next time. Thank you Nine Brick

My room at the 9 Brick Hotel was so nice that I actually had to force myself to go out and explore the city instead of just relaxing in the comfort of my room.

The hotel is very well located close to the bars and restaurants in and around Hongdae Shopping Street. It is a short walk from Hongik University station (metro line 2 and airport all-stop train) and from Sangsu station (metro line 6). three different metro lines. The staff were welcoming, the room and ensuite bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable and the sound proofing was good.
