La Jolla Cove Suites

Noisy construction. Pictures and descriptions of property are misleading. Had a mouse in our room we had to get rid of. For the price there are much better options in beautiful La Jolla.

We had problems with out living room TV, but was given a new room that was just as nice. This location is perfect for walking and many great restaurants.

I wish I was informed of the major remodeling and construction going on in this hotel when I made the reservation. Great location but the jackhammering that started at 7am on Monday really ruined the stay. Rooms were nice but again the noise made us get up and leave earlier than we wanted. I will say this, the coffee shop next the lobby… Excellent! Great coffee and people working there!

Overall, we had a great stay. The location was excellent, and the beach access was very convenient. The only disappointment was that we booked an oceanfront room, but the view was partially blocked by a building. Other than that, everything was wonderful, and we really enjoyed our stay.

There was a lot of construction going on, the first night we found several fleas in bathroom and the carpet was dirty, Cheetos left from customers before, We found a t-shirt in back of dresser. The couches were dirty and old. The fridge looked like nobody ever wiped them down. We informed the staff of the fleas and they told us they would clean while we were gone for the day, when we returned it just looked like they changed sheets, nothing was cleaned. It was the worst stay, did not enjoy any time at the hotel, was worried the whole time and could not sleep. We were offered a different room but was a smaller room and they weren’t able to do anything about it because they were booked. All they were able to do was offer a waver on the vale parking of $145. Our room was $1800 for 3 nights. We will never go stay at this location again.

Demolition is what is going on not just construction. The "renovated room" we stayed in was tucked into a corner with a window of a closed in walk way. Felt like a prison. I don't care how low of a price they offer would not recommend.

The property did a poor job communicating about their construction, on their website and through a third party. Our direct message said thru Expedia said their is construction going on. Property failed to compensate their guest. Construction is happening next door to the property. They gave us a room literally next to the construction. So rather than, blocking that area, they booked us in those rooms, knowing the noise is bothersome. They allowed us to stay and granted we explained our case that we didn't see the notification about construction being done. Understanding both faults, they said it's not their problem. We booked the place because of the location but to say because we didn't see their disclaimer is completely our fault when you could of closed out those rooms allowing us a chance to find a different place is unfair. You took our money and ruined our stay with their construction.

Horrible experience. Outrageously priced for a dirty room.

This experience was amazing! The room was clean and the restroom was breath taking. The staff were also kind and patient. I did not get a chance to go to the hot tub but I did go into the pool and it was clean and a pretty decent size .

The property was under heavy renovations. Very loud and blocked the views. I was not aware of renovations. Staff was rude as I had booked on Expedia.
