Van der Valk Plaza Beach & Dive Resort Bonaire - All Inclusive

Great stay!

Very very nice resort, wife and I LOVED it ! Food was great, vibe was awesome, our suite was awesome (just newly renovated), location was wonderful (3min drive from airport) , definitely an upscale resort, everything wood at the resort was hand made at the resort, very beautiful place and will definitely be back ! ❤️❤️

My ten year old son and I loved our stay at Van der Valk! I am not a drinker yet the all inclusiveness - to have fresh, healthy and delicious options cooked on site saved us a lot of time grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning and we used that time well snorkeling and diving the house reef, driving to 1000 Steps (our favorite spot on Bonaire) and taking a boat to dive Klein Bonaire which had the healthiest reefs we saw this trip! We saw turtles and eels on the house reef and the dive team, especially Chris and Jason at the on site Padi Dive Shop, were wonderful guides for my son’s Open Water License and my Refresher course. The pools were lovely yet if you are traveling with children we found Chogogo Resort better just for pool play time with their lazy river and lots of kids on site yet Van der Valk had better food, a much higher esthetic for grounds and rooms, and the house reef was better than Chogogo.

This was our first stay at this resort. The room was spacious and clean. The food at the restaurant was excellent. They had a gluten free section and on a few nights they made my wife a special gluten free dessert. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. They are expanding, so there was work going on. It did not really affect anything we did. We also enjoyed how quiet it was where our room was located.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Van der Valk Plaza Beach & Dive Resort Bonaire. The resort was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed the all-inclusive food and drinks, the relaxing beach area, and the stunning ocean views. The room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a great vacation. The location was convenient and made it easy to enjoy Bonaire’s natural beauty. The only minor downside was that some services could be a little slow during busy times, but overall it did not affect our experience. We would definitely return and recommend this resort to couples looking for a relaxing Caribbean getaway.

It was our second time here and this hotel and their staff are absolutely the BEST! This time we came with more family members, also their second time. Van der Valk is our favorite resort in Bonaire.

The property has changed dramatically since we first started going there in the 1990s. Yes there is some construction going on but it’s well cordoned off so that it doesn’t affect the restaurant the pool area or the beach. There’s a big solar panel project that’s been ongoing now but it’s cleanly run and I think will be a good benefit for them. The oceanfront deluxe and grand suite rooms have been updated over the years but I suspect they will undergo a complete overhaul and that will be one of the last things to be done as those areas are adjacent to of course the pool and the beach. The restaurant and the buffet style service is truly outstanding. They have an army of service staff. The food is fresh and very good I guess my only complaint would be it’s somewhat repetitive and yet truly no reason to go off resort to eat. The reef is in very good shape, better than it has been in the last few years not as good as it was 30 years ago which is to be expected. There’s a lot of new growth of corals and sponges. The snorkeling is easily accessible from the beach and very well protected from a lot of bad wave action and current despite the fact that the Easter leaves have been blowing fairly hard for the past several weeks to a month. Room service was prompt and thorough. We will continue to go back and always tell our friends about it.

everything was absolutely amazing from the pools, to the service, to the food, to the amazing views.. all of it was stellar. we had a room that was a bit far from the main pool/restauraunt and reception never had an issue sending a golf cart to bring us over to that area. if I could give a hundred stars I would and I will definitely be back!
