Our room was dated and in need of a refresh. Two key things were perfect: 1. The bed was excellent, super supportive and comfortable; 2. The shower was great - plenty of water pressure and volume.

One of the better hotels to stay at in Taupō. While parts of the property could benefit from a little TLC, the friendly and helpful staff more than made up for it. The amenities were great, and the ample parking was very convenient. The buffet breakfast was outstanding, with a great selection and excellent quality. Overall, a very enjoyable stay, and I'd happily return.

You can definitely see the grandeur of the past - but property is in need of renovation. Good food and service, welcoming reception - but when you get in the room, you feel a bit disappointed. Understandable, the renovation of the resort will come with a price - but it needs one. Having single glazed windows and no heat pump in Winter is mediocre, to say politely. Surely it is a good place in warm season, with perfect location and amenities. Overall pretty good place, but requires work.
