Radisson Blu Hotel Altstadt

Everything about this hotel, and my stay in it, was excellent - but I do have to give a special mention to all the staff. I can't recommend it highly enough!

This property was absolute perfection and it starts with the people there. Everyone was so friendly from the front desk to the bellmen to the staff at restaurants and breakfast. Not to mention the the location is amazing, right in the heart of everything but where you can easily get dropped off by car at the door and grab a bus right outside or walk directly into the heart of old town. The room was great as well, very haitoric, large, and with comfortable bedding. Of my month in Europe this might be my favorite hotel.

Great location.

I would stay at this hotel over any other in Salzburg. It is part of the history of the city with an unbeatable old city location. Our view included a cobblestone street, Cathedral and the castle. The breakfast was excellent, also with beautiful views of the river. My only complaint was the man checking us in was rude. He asked for our passports and when we gave them he tossed them back and said “open to photo!” Not a big deal. Everyone else was friendly.

We spent 2 nights here and really enjoyed it. Location: Close enough to walk to the Belvedere. Public transportation was very easy to navigate and the stops are right there. Bed: I loved it. A little on the firm side and the pillows were great. Amenities/Features: The gym has a stunning view and is well-equipped. The rooftop bar is gorgeous. The luggage lockers (not free) are secure and very easy to use if you arrive early or stay later than checkout. Staff: Very friendly and helpful Worth noting: Aside from the gorgeous design (which also made it extremely easy to spot when walking back from a day of exploration), they give you a ticket for Prosecco/wine/beer for each day you don’t have your room cleaned. We would definitely stay here again!

Good location and certain staff members very helpful, while others not at all. There was issue with leaky a/c but quickly addressed once notified. Rooms with dated furnishings. Bedding was comfortable.

Chose the hotel based on proximity to my tours. Hotel located in Old Town just below the fortress with shops and restaurants close by. The hotel overlooks the Salzach river which was a nice treat waking up to the view. The room was clean, and in order. I opted for the daily breakfast which did not disappoint. The breakfast had a large variety of foods to choose from. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall I had an enjoyable stay and would recommend this hotel.

Beautiful historic hotel centrally located in Aldstat. Friendly staff, comfortable beds. Walking distance from many of the sights we wanted to see. Easy access to transit for sights further afield. Would definitely stay again!

The location was right in the old town which was perfect for us. There wasn’t parking at the hotel. You had to park in a garage a little far from the hotel. The hotel was clean and room was spacious.

Great location. Room is very nice and huge. Breakfast is amazing!
