I checked in around 2pm and was warmly welcomed by two friendly and professional staff members. They went above and beyond to assist with arranging my airport transfer, which was greatly appreciated. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is also in a fantastic location, making it easy to get around. A wonderful stay and I would happily return.

Hotel Kuu is a small well located hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. I visit Kyoto twice a year and always stay at the Kuu. They offer a very good breakfast and I especially like the public bathes located on the property.

If you’re coming to Kyoto, STAY HERE! It has the perfect mix of traditional ryokan style and modern amenities, plus the onsen is amazing! The staff were all very helpful and allowed me into the onsen even with tattoos. The staff also provided a lot of optional free tours like their bus service which takes you around the popular temples of Kyoto! Next vacation we are definitely staying here again!

The staff was so helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed renting bikes from the hotel and so many extra amenities that we didn’t expect that made the trip even better! Great location.

Everything was amazing. All the staff are incredible. The location was beautiful. The room was clean and extremely comfortable. The amenities were all awesome. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto!
