Hotel Residence Tabor

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my stay at TÁBOR. When we walked into our room, I was genuinely shocked by how old and outdated everything looked. There was even a hole in the blanket, and the kettle and microwave looked like they had travelled from the 1960s. Breakfast was included, but unfortunately it was also disappointing. There was a very unpleasant smell in the breakfast room that we simply could not tolerate, so we had to sit outside every morning. The whole building also did not feel very safe. The rooms were opened with old-style keys, which made us uncomfortable, and we felt we had to carry all our valuables with us whenever we went out. The night receptionist was also very unprofessional. When we arrived, he asked for our passports. As I have two passports, I wanted to quickly check them myself before handing them over. Instead, he raised his voice, grabbed them from my partner’s hand, and loudly said, “I can check it!” If it hadn’t been the middle of the night, I would have left immediately and never looked back.

The bedroom was a good size along with the bathroom which was well equipped with a decent size shower with consent hot water which was very welcoming after a long day roaming around the Prague sites. Breakfast was adequate and was slightly varied everyday which was nice and the surroundings were kept very clean. The only issue was that it was in the main building (Golden City Hotel) which was across the busy street full of trams which may not be so pleasant when its raining. Transport into the city is easy with the trams system, the best I have ever come across. Overall the staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times and even with the little odd things lie crossing the road for breakfast I would stay here again.

Very clean room, the breakfast was very good, loads of choice although you did have to cross the road to the golden palace to get it, but that was no hardship, the staff were fantastic, very polite and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the residence Tábor to everyone.

The room was clean and right next to a tram stop. It was a perfect spot away from all the touristy places but just a quick tram ride and you'd be in the heart. The breakfast was delicious.

Staff friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and is in good location around 15 minutes from city centre by tram or a 40min walk

Really good location with loads of trams, rooms definitely need sound proofing as you can hear everything outside which is annoying as trams run every 2 minutes during the day and every half hour at night. Reception staff were lovely and helpful, cleaners were friendly breakfast was poor however sadly, nowhere near enough options, you had cereal, hotdogs, bread or cold cuts that's it, not very filling but good times though 7:30-10:30.
