Holiday Inn Express Port Moresby by IHG

Holiday Inn Express is a great option to stay when traveling through Port Moresby. The airport shuttle is convenient, and the hotel is near the airport. The hotel has what you need, including dining options.

This hotel is near the airport. The staff is friendly and competent. Breakfast was very good with lots of variety.

The rooms were clean and well maintained. I appreciated the airport shuttles. I didn't try to use the shuttle around town, though Taxi service is readily available as well. The breakfast is good, and well served daily. The common area was not as clean as it could be - on the floors near the elevators - these areas were not as well looked after as the Lobby.

It was very helpful to have a breakfast buffet available daily as part of the price. The supper buffet was nice to have as an extra cost, but I preferred the restaraunt in the Holiday Inn and Suites. Holiday Express Pizza was cold when served, but edible. There were a few common areas that were dirty from other guests and not cleaned up quickly (more than a day). The rooms were nice, well cleaned and good amenities. The conference space at Holiday Inn and Suites was very well set up, and the staff were helpful. The lunch buffets, and coffee breaks were well done daily. The staff was helpful with additional conference needs. The laundry services were helpful too - dry cleaning or regular laundry are available for a price, which is very helpful for the traveler. Shuttle service was prompt and helpful at each IHG property, and the fact that both hotels are on one fenced compound that was well provided for security wise was very helpful. Guard Dog Security Service Officers were respectful and helpful in looking after security needs of the site, not obtrusive or overbearing.

I normally stay at Airways buy it wascfully booked. First despite call the hotel In advance, the bus never showed up. The other hotel reps called the Holiday Inn rep and she couldn't be bothered. No customer service. Check in was chaos with 1 person serving and people everywhere. Had to go back to the reception to get the wifi code. Very disorganized. Getting the bus back to the airport was also problematic. I won't stay there again.

I lost money and stuff in my room when a non registered guest was allowed access to my room when I was not in my room

Great spot to stay at. Gated with guards so felt really safe. Across the street are art vendors with some great art to purchase. Especially helps if you know pigin 😉 room was nice, good view, room service came to the door. Instant shuttle to the airport starting at 630am. Overall pretty happy

The wait at the airport for transfer to the hotel was 30 minutes which was a bit long. Everything else is perfect.

The staff was very helpful and I appreciated the free airport shuttle to & from the hotel
