I visit Gloucester fairly regularly with work and will stay here 9 out of 10 trips.
Its 5 minutes drive away from the center on Gloucester. It has plenty of amenities within 5 minutes walk and the canal is only a 10 minute walk away. The place itself has a nice feel to it, good food and clean rooms, ample parking.
It ticks a lot of boxes

Spotlessly clean food was phenominal all fresh and great quality quiet and cosy realy enjoyed our stay lovely staff very friendly too will be back soon

සාමාන්යයට වඩා අඩු A superior room was booked. It was tiny. Ground floor. Very cold. The hotel property is old and in desperate need of decoration and updating. There was no water in the room, surely a basic in a hotel these days?! The shower was awful, no water pressure. The toilet is the size of a primary school child’s bottom and very, very low. The towel provided (found another in a Cupboard) was rock hard. Toiletries provided were basically fairly liquid. Now the main issue-the bed. It was a king (?) made up with two separate single mattresses that were different heights. Every move emitted a squeak and clunk of mattress springs. They were old and extremely uncomfortable. We got barely any sleep, eventually sleeping at 5am! There were no staff to be found at checkout. We will never stay here again and would recommend that no one else spend their hard earned money. When we complained, via Expedia, there was no apology, no refund, part of other. Avoid!!!
