Grünau Hotel

Very nice and unique place full of interesting history.

Excellent service & staff

This place was not what it said. It said they had a restaurant and bowling ally on the property. When we arrived we were not told any of this. We had just traveled and not ate all day. In the hotel room the hotel info still had a menu for room service and hours of operation for the restaurant. It didn’t open til 5. It was 3:30 so we decided to wait also because there wasn’t any other food options close by. We head down at 5 only to find out it’s permanently closed as well as the bowling alley. So me and my family had to walk 20 mins to the nearest restaurant. The hotel also states that it’s only a 11 minute drive to the airport. It wasn’t. It was a 20 minute drive so we had to pay more for a taxi than we originally had thought. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy but there’s a apartment across from the hotel and the people were very noisy til very late. There was also benches under our window that people were hanging out drinking and smoking til late as well. Since there’s no air conditioning we had our windows open and smoke was coming in our room and set the smoke alarm off twice super late around midnight when we were asleep. Me and my family were very disappointed with this hotel.

Location of the hotel is quite a distance away from the nearest train station. No stores nearby.

Nice Style. Bathroom was 10 out of 10 Mattress (cover) was toooo hot

Stayed at this hotel for 3 days on a half board basis. Far from the city although there's a train station nearby. No coffee or tea facility in the room, if you want one you have to order it. No aircon. Kitchen staff are friendly. On their half board basis, you get a breakfast buffet and a 2 coarse meal for dinner with 3 choices. Drinks not included with the dinner. Food is OK nothing special.
