Casa Morada

Our biggest complaint was that there were only six lounge chairs and three umbrellas by the Pool area which overlooked the ocean. Obviously, we had to wait for someone to leave. The Pool deck area was the resorts most attractive amenity and it was not adequately equipped. Unfortunately, we would not recommend or return to this resort.

My room was the Twilight garden view suite. My travel companion stayed in the waterfront Manatee room. Both are sparkling clean, had plenty of bath linens, and a good supply of drinks and snacks. We kept the car in the very convenient parking directly below my suite. There is also plenty of parking at the waterfront rooms. My bed was really comfortable with a variety of pillows for most preferences. The bed linens are good quality. I used the bed in the sitting room for reading and a little TV watching. Malin and Goetz toiletries are fabulous! Nice rain shower and personal shower. Housekeeping staff are lovely. The grounds are lush, gorgeous Old Florida natural with native plants galore. Live, blooming orchids grow in many trees The landscape design is perfect for strolling with my tiny dog. Plenty of seating areas for relaxing, scenic pauses. This feature is one of the reasons for my selection of Casa Morada. I am an 82 year old native Floridian lady who grew up on the Florida Gulf coast. The native plants were a welcome rejuvenation for me. The water front is beautifully designed and I spent a lot of time in the island pagoda. Shout out for receptionist and General Factotum Sam. She was 2 minutes away when my friend had a night time glitch with his TV. Casa Morada is quiet, no elevator noise or raucous partiers. It is adults only. It is not a 5-star hotel. It is a perfect retreat. We really did not want to leave, and plan to return in the Fall.

I liked the quiet atmosphere and tranquility. I liked the no hassle feeling from the staff. Everyone smiles!!!

Clean and relaxing

I’ve been staying here for the last 7 years when I come down to flyfish. The quaint hotel with its quirky boutique vibe is still there but I’ve noticed some changes with the whole hotel. Apparently it was bought by an average hotel across the street I hope they keep Casa Morada going and do not change the cool boutique ness of the place. There is no bar anymore not sure if that’s coming back and the check in Office isn’t on property anymore, the beach island had minimal lounge chairs, they have replaced them with small tables and chairs in the sand. There is some replaced furniture in the rooms that are definitely not old Florida funky like before. I know this is just a few minor changes but it made its mark. I truely like this place I hope they keep it the same.

The meet and great staff is great. The outside bar is currently closed. The bicycles are ok- several with no breaks, seat posts rusted into one height. Our rooms outdoor patio was also shared with maintenance water hose. If you don’t mind your privacy being interrupted… This is a nice quiet location, walking distance to many restaurants and shops.

Easily accessible from the highway - but tucked away in quiet corner - Casa Morada is a peaceful retreat. Good parking. Clean beautiful room/suite. Easy access to pool and lounging area. No beach.

Truly a spectacular & stylish hidden gem, almost feels like we have the whole place to ourselves. Plus, pool, gardens, it’s quiet, peaceful with many free activities you can do. Includes paddle boards and kayaks so you can do it for free when you stay with them. Stunning Sunsets at the property phenomenal staff, and amenities! Pet Friendly too. Fresh breakfast with quality goods and spectacular fresh squeezed orange juice. We had an amazing stay, wish it could have been for longer - Jetted tub needed work was the only issue

Great little hotel on the water. Outdoor space on the water was beautiful. Clean rooms with amenities like bikes, kayaks and pool. The pool could use a heater.
