Six Brunton Place

Beautiful old B&B which harks back to the olden times! The interior and all the furnishings are well thought out and nothing is missed, even down to the old keyrings for the rooms and the bell to call for attention. Our room was the Courtyard room in the basement. It’s quite small but had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. We also had access to the beautiful garden & the courtyard at the front of the building. The breakfast was a highlight, a continental style all set out in the most beautiful huge front dining room. All condiments you could wish for, a full choice of cereals and cheese and meats next to croissants and other baked goods. It’s very handy for the city as well. Only 20 mins walk to Waverley train station, or it’s on a bus route if you’d prefer. Hilary who greeted us and catered to our every needs was a joy. So lovely to chat to and really made the stay perfect as nothing was too much trouble for her. She’s a credit to the B&B Thank you for a wonderful stay! Naomi

Our stay at Six Brunton Place was everything we had hoped for. The room was beautiful, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was absolutely wonderful. Martin was such a lovely host—friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful with recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Edinburgh and would happily return. Highly recommend!

What a lovely stay! We were greeted by Hilary when we checked in, and she gave a great recommendation to go up Calton hill and check out town! We slept great and had a great time exploring town with Six Brunton as our base.

It was surprisingly pleasant hotel. Although it is a converted old town house, they have fitted with a rather nice bathroom, better than any other hotels I have stayed in recent years (we stayed in Courtyard Room). Not a large room, but well thought through.

The home was beautiful and homey. Very comfortable. Hilary, the proprietor, was gracious and helpful. Fantastic breakfast.
