The Tigress Resort & Spa, Ranthambore

Great place to stay for safaris in Ranthambore if pickups are part of your safati package. Hotel is only accessible by a 1-2 km-long dirt road which is not uber accessible. Be aware that getting out to do stuff is therefore difficult if you don't have a driver waiting or pickup by gypsy jeep for safari. That said, hotel is a nice retreat between safaris. Staff were kind and caring though few spoke English. Laundry service was inexpensive and wonderful. Buffets plentiful but Indian dishes were less elevated than some in the Indian premium hotel buffet competition! Room was spacious. Furnishings and decor not fancy but certainly comfortable. Bed was wonderful. Linens high quality. Bathroom midern, clean with a great shower. Gym spacious but modestly equipped. Pool large and clean. Live entertainment at dinner was loud and intrusive though some guests loved it. Standout at this hotel was spacious room and caring staff. Just be aware of the issue with road access if you're not happy being stuck at the hotel between safaris.

Great massages each day by Sarah. Very nice spa and reasonable price. Terrible road to get to hotel. Nice buffet with emtertainment. Had a beautiful large suite booked. Staff super polite and helpful.

Fantastic staff - really went out of their way to ensure we have an enjoyable stay. Chef able to tailor food to our liking (we can’t have spicy food). Hotel also handled our tiger safari booking and transfers (Vikas is a great driver) - all went smoothly and the bonus was that we were lucky enough to see a tiger (zone 7). The Rajastani musical performance at night which was nice too. Thank you for having us.

Disappointed with the experience. I booked a room for three guests and was charged accordingly, but no proper sleeping arrangement was provided for the third guest. Despite being told the diwan would be set up as a bed, nothing was done even by 11:30 pm. Only a sheet and pillow were provided in winter, which is unacceptable. Service did not match the price paid.

Great location close to the park. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.

The Tigeress is well located if you are going on Ranthambore reserve. The hotel staff definitely make the hotel a very friendly place and go out of their way to help. The hotel is not near any other restaurants etc, but the food in their own restaurant is good and has speciality food cook every evening.

The dirtiest hotel I have seen in my life. The rooms and shower have fungus growing on them. You don't want to sit on a sofa or a chair for the dirt. The carpet on the floor is enormously disgusting. Flies in the rooms. Terrible food. The staff are friendly and humble. We had booked and paid for two nights but couldn't stand staying for more than one. The smell of the humidity and fungi in the room kills you.
