Nice location, very central - can walk to restaurants, bars, coffee shops and supermarket.Poor outside lighting at night, unit not sericed daily - only once asked.

The Pacific Motor Inn was recently refurbished and the new owners went above and beyond. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. They put a great deal into the decor, very nice dishes in the kitchen and a great bathroom with heated towel racks and a lovely deep tub. It was very centrally located with ample parking, a small pool and complimentary laundry facilities (which we were very thankful for). I highly recommend the Pacific Motor Inn.

Perfectly located for walking into town. There are literally dozens of cafes and restaurants within a five minute walk. Mount Maunganui, although still closed to the public following the tragic landslide in January 2026 is only 10 minutes walk. Seafront even less.
The rooms were comfortable with cooking facilities and crockery provided making it easy to prepare simple meals. The on site laundry was a boon and most welcome.
Parking was a little tight in terms of space size and layout - but no biggy really.
An excellent place to base yourself for the surrounding area or for exploring the town.
