Chesscom Hotel

Clean, basic air conditioned room. Beds not the biggest but comfy enough. Free parking and helpful staff

The reason I decided to stay at this hotel was: 1. I always try to stay a little out of the city center to get the feel of the entire area; 2. Because I was going to arrive around 6pm at the airport, I thought I better stay at a place that had easy access. As for the airport transportation, 200E buses, which are regular buses ( as opposed to more expensive AirPort Express buses ) run frequently between the airport and Kőbánya-Kispest, one of the Budapest transportation hubs for trains, metro and buses, which is only 5 minute walk away from Chesscom. The ride is less than 25 minutes. Also they offer wonderful breakfast. I stayed 6 nights. Every single day I got a couple of different things on top of all the usual stuff. The room was clean and tidy. The staff, the front desk, cleaning or breakfast service, were all welcoming and do their jobs perfectly. I could tell this hotel, as a business, is run very well. If you need to buy some groceries, there is Lidl 10 minute walk away, and along the way you see houses and buildings that haven’t changed for many decades, which I really loved to see. A little bonus: the price is lower than those found in the city center! I cannot recommend Chesscom Hotel highly enough.

Very nice rooms and staff

The place was clean with daily housekeeping and breakfast was wonderful. The only negative, the AC was not working during our stay. Staff claimed maintenance came to fix but AC unit blowing warm air. We ended up just opening small window to let air in.

Friendly staff and clean rooms and delicious breakfast

The location is excellent You're close public transit, shopping and a nice neighborhood just south of it. It has an excellent breakfast buffet.

The staff were extremely friendly, polite & helpful. We were a bit surprised by the unusual circuitous route to our room (up stairs, around corners, downstairs… but we found it. There was a lingering odor, of sweat? But otherwise comfortable accomadation

Stayed one night, it is clean and cozy. So small that everything is in reach from the bed :)) but no funny smells, clean and good, tasty breakfast. Recommended from concert visitors. Papp László arena in relatively close, parking avaiable.
