It was an excellent place, clean and location was great, everything within walking distance. 5-7min walk from the Marina, which was very useful after a long day in Green Island and day trip to Great Barrier Reef.
There was a common place, with gourmet coffee machine, bottle water and biscuits. We were a family of 3, king bed was big enough for 3 of us.

It was terrible during my 4 days stay at hotel. The first two days I kept on being interrupted by noise. The first night the noise was so loud I thougt it was train passing near by. I could not fall asleep for most of the night. It totally ruined my following day reef tour. l believe the noise came from a blocked or damaged stormwater down pipe outside my room after rain. The front desk staff were helpful and tried to swap my room with an upcoming customers as the hotel was fully booked. Obviously this is an existing issues with hotel management that should be properly fixed rather than passing the problem from guest to guest.

The Abbott is located close to everything. Our room was spotless. The staff was amazing. Highly recommend!

නියමයි Between the location, the break room, staff, and cleanliness of the hotel alone make it a great stay. The price was great.
The room was good. Due to an issue with a previous customer, the shower head was damaged in my room, but since it still worked and I was only staying three nights, I didn’t move when they offered. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I used at a hotel in years.
The only issue I had was that the front desk isn’t maintained 24/7, but they are on call during the late evening, so it isn’t a huge issue.
As long as the price doesn’t change much, I will probably pick this hotel again if and when I return to Cairns.
