Hotel Flamingos

Was a terrible experience, wasn’t clean and a lot of Cockroaches..

The people working at the hotel were kind. The price was alright, although a bit expensive for the area. I do have a couple of not-so-great points to point out. The good news is that if you're coming from the Nueve Central bus station 0 the small one that serves only a few cities, Chapala, etc. There are a bunch of bus stations in GUAD. This is one of the smallest with extremely limited service. The unfortunate situation with this hotel is that there is nothing you would want anywhere near it. It's kilometers from Centro, and I walked dozens of blocks and couldn't find a place to eat. Maybe a couple local spots that most people would not want to eat at. That is the downside. The beds are too soft for my liking, sinking into them, and the fan in the room was beyond noisy. Just keep'n it real. Loved the nice people willing to speak English that were at the front desk, so thank you for that. I would not say the area in unsafe, at all. Lots of people selling things on the street, but that is not a 'safety' issue. One upsdied is that it is across the street from a huge WalMart. You can at least get fruit, and a few items there to eat. :)

Room not clean, someones sock under the bed, no hand towels the night staff was very good

The bed felt like a rock, the ceiling fan was super dusty, then shower is built weird, feels like you’re going to fall, the shower rod curtain is not that strong, there was no hot water, the only good thing was probably that it is close to several things

I didn't even check in at all, when I arrived there was no parking lot, the streets around look very unsafe, I try to cancel the booking but it was to late, I guess you get what you pay for, very disappointed,

Easy access

For a low budget hotel this is perfect. Only down side is if you are not used to being in commercial areas the location is not ideal. All the staff were wonderful. I meet the young owner and wish him well. I will return. Although in a not great area it is very close to downtown and the owner and staff could not have been more helpful. Rooms were small clean and adequate. Give it a try

The receptionist was very helpful. I requested a room with view to the street, and the receptionist gave it to me with no problem. I could see the tower of the Cathedral ‘Beautiful’ I would stay again in this hotel.
