Hotel The Designers LYJ Gangnam Premier

I stayed at Designers LYJ Hotel for 3 weeks with a breakfast package for two while undergoing surgery at Braun Plastic Surgery. The location is excellent; only a 5-minute walk from Braun and close to restaurants, shopping, cafés, and convenience stores. The hotel felt safe, and the housekeeping staff were honest, respectful, and trustworthy. Alex, the General Manager, and front desk staff Enzo and Yang were kind, professional, and very helpful. Breakfast was simple but repetitive. My son stopped going after the fourth day because he grew tired of the menu. My elderly mother continued going by herself and occasionally took a small amount of food for herself to eat later in the room since, after surgery, we couldn't finish full meals at once. We later learned the hotel has a policy against taking breakfast food to guest rooms, which we respect. However, a friendlier explanation from the beginning would have made the situation much more comfortable. Instead, my mother felt closely watched, which made her uncomfortable. Alex kindly upgraded our room after we shared our concerns. After that, we simply ordered takeout and ate together in our room. Overall, the hotel is convenient for short stays, especially if you're visiting Braun Plastic Surgery. For a longer stay, however, I would probably choose a more comfortable hotel or an Airbnb. If you're visiting Seoul in July or August, be prepared for hot, humid and wet.

Excellent hotel

During the stay, four male staffs came to my room and changed the installation of the amenities. It was very loud for hours since they did the whole building. They’d have let us know before we book the hotel.

Very clean, centrally located hotel within walking distance of the subway, buses, restaurants, and medical offices. The staff is professional, polite, and extremely helpful, especially Alex, Ezno, David, and Koeo, who go above and beyond to make your stay convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel location is good not far from the train station and plenty of restaurants around. The room is not that clean and quite small.

Friendly front desk staff. Always with a smile

You need to follow instruction to inform them before 11am for room cleaning service. One day we were late and went to front desk to tell them at noon and turns out no cleaning or changing towel when we back at night. But the front desk still helpful and arranged clean towels for us that night.

Dirty room, dirty hall way, dirty floor.. but location is good
