The Crown Manor House Hotel

This was a beautiful, historic hotel. All the communal areas were lovely and the food and service was excellent. My dad's room was lovely and cool, but ours was stuffy and too hot on the third floor. The fan made little difference and we struggled without aircon; we were very unlucky. Staff helped with ice buckets but couldn't switch us to another room as the place was full. A second fan did help a bit with the overnight heat, but we had to spend a lot of time out if the room for comfort.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Crown Manor House Hotel. The building is beautiful, and our room was tastefully decorated with a lovely four-poster bed that added to the experience. The bathroom was equally impressive, with a large bath/shower and high-quality toiletries. We also enjoyed spending time in the peaceful garden at the back of the property, and the free on-site parking was very convenient. Overall, this was a lovely stay, and we would happily return.

I only stayed 1 night but I loved the hotel and the garden on a summer’s evening was delightful. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Cosy single room with a comfortable bed. The air conditioning had just broken so the room was extremely, extremely hot. They said it was going to be repaired.

We stayed to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, the staff couldn’t have been more pleasant and welcoming. We were treated so well, nothing was too much. Helped make our stay very memorable. Would highly recommend, the evening meal was exceptional. Breakfast was delicious and there was a good selection to choose from.

My husband and I had 2 nights stay at The Crown. Check in was not until 3pm but we got there at 1.15pm and we was able to have our room which was great. All the staff were very friendly and made us very welcome. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first night and the food was lovely. We had one issue with the room. The air con wasn't working, we reported this but don't think it could be fixed, but no one actually confirmed this with us so we had a fan put in the room. But this didn't do anything and we were waking up through the night absolutely baking hot. Window was open but didn't do anything and with the window open there was lots of noise due to the amount of traffic going through. When checking out we wasn't asked how our stay was and if everything was ok. When we have stayed at other places they have always asked.

Adequate car parking, good location for Lyndhurst hight street. No air conditioning in King Rufus suite. It was a hot summers day. Lift out of action the second day of our visit. A mini fridge in the room would be helpful. The hotel is in need of refurbishment, certainly the bedroom windows.

Amazing hotel. We checked in late after disappointing Hunters Lodge (what a dump) and this was just £30 more with amazing beautiful room, stunning place, delicious breakfast in the morning - we loved it.

A lovely hotel with helpful, friendly staff. The communal areas are beautiful and the food great. It felt cosy and I am sure a winter stay would be as good as this summer stay. We would definitely visit again.

The room for a standard double was a little on the small side.
