APA Hotel Kanazawa Ekimae

Unlike APA hotels in other places, this is more for travelers. Very good exception the organization of Spa, how rooms are set up to get to the bath, etc. A bit unusual. Other than that, everything is excellent.

Very convenient to the train station and bus terminal, helpful for visiting sites in the area. The room was clean and equipped with every gadget. Swirly black and silver wallpaper on one wall, fortunately behind the bed and not visible when trying to sleep. Breakfast had a great choice of Japanese and western foods, though the fried eggs were tepid. The internet worked fine. The bed was comfortable, but for me the pillow was too hard, not resilient. Plenty of hot water and a good but smaller shower. The room and bathroom were incredibly small, the double bed and desk had maybe 18 inches separation and they filled the entire room. No place to set up a suitcase except on the bed or on the floor in the short narrow foyer hallway. There was a little luggage rack the size of a camp stool, could only hold a small bag and no place to set it up, and hooks and hangers in the hallway, no room for a closet. I would not recommend these rooms for two people but maybe they have bigger ones. All in all, it was a good value for the location and if traveling alone, I would stay there again.

All APA Showers Curtain smells bad as they are not dried from the sun or smells damp with odor

Amenities are good, polite and helpful staff.

The corner room was spacious with nice city view. With extremely convenient location if you are traveling using Shinkansen, train, or bus. The interior decollation was distasteful as Las Vegas. Could use a bit of simplification to be a boutique hotel.

We got a twin room with no view and we were not told the man public bath was not avaliable until late at night. I have to go back to the front desk to ask what's going on. TV screen shown a Japanese message regarding the situation but force to click "confirm" or "同意". Front desk staff 田中 explained but no compensation or rememdy except waiting. Asking me how long my stay kind of unrelated question. It was fixed late in the evening but the handling of such was not professional. One of the reasons I picked this hotel was its public onsen.

Room is the usual high quality expected from APA. This, I’m assured of. But the public bath, outdoor bath, steam room is unique in this location. Love the experience. Will definitely stay here again.

Great hotel. Very quiet. The location is wonderful right next to the train station. The train station has wonderful shopping and dining. You could spend hours in it just discovering all it has to offer. We walked to the castle and gardens. It is a ways but doable. It helps walking off all the yummy food.
