Leonardo Hotel München City Center

There was a heat wave, so the AC was welcome. The room was pretty small for two people, so it would have been better to spend more for a larger one. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a long block from a Lidl grocery store and a short walk from the train station. There were a couple beggars on the street, but they weren't a problem.

Friendly counter person. Nice room. Nice breakfast. Close to train station - about a 5 minute walk.

Positives - Girl on reception was lovely. Our room was quiet. Across the road from the train station. Walking distance to old town and lovely restaurants. Negatives - not a great area. We didn’t feel safe late at night so didn’t stay out after 11pm. Room was very small. Coffee machine but no teabags so bring your own. I would have preferred a kettle as I felt the water hadn’t boiled. Air conditioning wasn’t great. Couldn’t make it colder but thankfully it wasn’t too warm when we stayed. Bathroom was ok but bath towels were the size of hand towels. Carpet outside our room on floor 3 was absolutely disgusting! Looked like there had been vomit and the initial smell was horrendous. The smell did improve a bit. You had a choice to have your room cleaned or a free drink! It wasn’t cheap so I think I would look for a hotel in a different part of Munich next time.

Rooms were clean & comfortable; they provided free bottled water daily which is a rare find. Barbar at the front desk was always helpful. They were very transparent at check in about the elevator being serviced during our stay and that it would likely take longer than the service provider promised. Conveniently located close to the Munich Hauptbahnhof. They were also in walking distance to Marienplatz square and other tourist places.

One night stop over before travelling on from Munich. Comfortable and good breakfast choice.

Overall, the hotel was good. Its excellent location, varied breakfast options, and the friendly and efficient front desk staff during check-in were definite highlights. On the downside, the air conditioning is centrally controlled and appears to be set at temperatures that do not provide adequate cooling, likely as an energy-saving measure. As a result, the rooms were quite warm, especially in the afternoon and evening. In addition, housekeeping service was often very late. On some days, our room had still not been cleaned by 4:00 p.m., which meant we could not return to the room and use it comfortably during that time

Room was dirty, and extremely hot. They had a fan in the room to help, but it was not very stronge. The AC did not work well in the room. We opted to have the window open to try and gwy a cool breeze but it is open to a smaller street/ alley that had some hostels so quite loud at times. Breakfast was good, staff was nice

Room was clean. Staff was great and helpful. Accidently chose the wrong year for my trip. They were unable to refund me the money per their policy however they were able to accommodate free breakfast. Would stay there again.

The AC didn’t work very well and the floor was dirty. The staff were very friendly and the location being one block from the Hauptbahnhof was perfect. I would stay there again.
