Altstadthotel Wolf-Dietrich

I travelled as a solo traveler and had a very clean and somewhat small spare room. Comfortable, small deep soaking tub which I loved. Location was perfect.

I was disappointed with our stay,because the air conditioning not working.The room is directly to sun even the windows are open or fan is on still very warm and especially during the night is very uncomfortable.I informed the staff but the issue was not resolved during our stay for 3 nights.

This was an amazing hotel for my family of 4! After cramming into small rooms in a couple of other cities, the Altstadt family room included a separate bedroom for our children (with three twin beds). The main room had the double bed (king-sized) for my husband and I, plus a separate living area with a couch, coffee table, etc. The bathroom was spacious and offered exactly what we needed. The bedding was so cozy and comfortable, a luxurious place to sleep each night! The comfortable lobby offers a bar with a great selection of mixed drinks, beer and wine. The hotel’s laundry service was much appreciated since the laundromat we planned to use was closed the days we were in Salzburg. The location of the hotel is great - a short tram / bus ride from the train station and just around the corner from a wonderful walking area full of restaurants and shops. The breakfast offered by the hotel was great for our needs and the staff in all areas couldn’t have been more kind and attentive. I’d love to return to Salzburg some day and this hotel is where I will plan to stay!

We were warmly welcomed and our suitcases carried up for us the second we arrived. We booked a family room which was spacious and clean - nothing fancy but pleasent enough. We appreciated the Aircon during a heatwave! The pool was nice, but very cold. No one else was in the spa area so I enjoyed the quiet! Breakfast was nice, and all the waiting staff were super friendly. The bar looked nice but we didn't have time to use it. It's a shame they didn't have a restaurant in the evening as that would have been useful with a young tired child with us but there was a great restaurant they recommended literally around the corner.

Very nice and quiet hotel. The staff goes above and beyond to help with your needs. Close to everywhere.

Great location, close to historic centre. Lots of restaurants and shops. Parking was a little challenging, but the staff was very helpful in getting that sorted out.

Nice enough hotel but somehow felt meager. Needed to put room key in wall-slot for electricity. Towels hard to come by. No a la carte breakfast options (only expensive fixe-prix which had too much processed meat and cheese to be palatable for us in the morning...so we went elsewhere.) Nice place but as with many tourist-area businesses was not running on all cylinders.

Location is very good. Room was clean but basic amenities. Breakfast was good. Many thanks to Daniel who was very helpful to us.

Nice hotel, not far from the river. Walking distance to everywhere. Great spa and swimming pool. Awesome breakfast.
