Lovely and historic inn. We absolutely loved both the cottages and the staff who were excellent. Highly recommend.

The rooms and staff and all were very nice. The town is extremely small though and these gigantic buses came through and dropped off loads of people so it no fault to the hotel but the peaceful tranquility gets a bit lost when there are too many people for the four places in the town.

Overpriced & incorrectly advertised.
Service incredibly slow, evening meal took well over an hour to arrive.
Breakfast was wrong twice and completely overcooked.
Contractors started working right outside my window at 0830 - would have been nice to get some warning or a reduction on bill.

Excellent location, staff were friendly and helpful, beds were very comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was ok. The steak was very over cooked and was like a frisbee. The duck was tough, the triple cooked chips were hot and delicious. The breakfast menu had a great selection and was very good.
